Just a food for though, that's how I did it for years before stable cable internet was established in Serbia and only special places could have it. So you would not be limited to a caffe, it is very easy to unlock any wi-fi, there are lots of tutorials on air-crack. It is very easy to make one and if you decide to buy, chinese have some with amplifiers at like 30db and like 30$ that can go way beyond 2km, especially in such area where there is not much signal polution as not every building has 60 wi-fi, one for each apartment. My first hand made 16db wi-fi antenna (costed me less than 10$) was able to have decent 60% signal from 2km away, was even able to play PvP games with very good ping. Also, internet cafe here in the Philippines doesn't offer wifi connect from a residential location.
