So as your CPU heats up, the temperature will actually decrease.as it is showing the headroom you have left.Ĭomparing my "Temperatures" > "CPU" temperature reading from HWMonitor, with my own "FAN0" temperature reading in AMD OverDrive (installed it to post on this topic), they are identical. Regarding to AMD OverDrive, depending on where in the software you are reading the temperature, it will show the margin you have left before reaching the thermal limit. If you look, my "Package" temperature is also very low.my room temperature at the time was around ~15*C). Under "Temperature" there is a reading actually labelled as "CPU." This is basically bang on with what the BIOS shows. This is another fourm member's CPU - he also was making the mistake by looking at the "Package" temperature. If you want to see a more accurate reading, scroll up a bit in the HWMonitor menu. The Package temperature is not accurate during idle, but should be relatively accurate when the CPU is under load. In HWMoniotor, you are looking at the wrong thing. So after that, I want to know why my cpu fan does not increase speed when the cpu gets hotter and why i can't control either of my system fans and why one is at 0 rpm all the time, when it is clearly spinning? I can't seem to control the system fans(3 pin connectors) at all I think i should be able to right? I have two system fans hooked up one stays at a constant 930 Rpm and the other at 0 rpm? However on speed Fan temp 2 comes up as 43- 50 degrees and up to 60 on full load, this seems more logical for the cpu tempīut i have noticed this temp goes up, but the cpu fan speed does not go up to cool it down? So one problem I am having is that after windows boots it can't seem to detect the CPU temps I have used Speed fan, CPUID Hardware monitor and AMD overdrive, but it seems they all display ridiculous numbers like 12 to 17 degrees C So I am having a few problems with the build, I have a cooler master hyper 212 evo for my cpu cooler.
